  • Thad Jessen, LPC

    Thadeus (Thad) earned an MA in Community Counseling at the University of Northern Colorado. He is a Co-Owner and Licensed Therapist for Polaris. Being of service and helping bring a voice to the voiceless are the passions that have drawn Thad to the field of mental health. Trauma, attachment, mood disorders, and dual diagnosis, are Thad’s areas of expertise. He has spent his career serving individuals and families of all ages and backgrounds. His favorite part of his work is getting to meet and work with a diverse and ever-changing population.

  • Vickie Gerber, LPC

    Vickie Gerber is a Licensed Professional Counselor and is a mental health and substance abuse therapist with Polaris Partners. She earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University in 2015. Vickie’s curiosity about human behavior started at a young age, watching loved ones struggle with relationships, addiction, and other difficulties. Her personal experiences have inspired her to help others overcome their own difficulties and find meaning and purpose in their lives. Vickie specializes in working with adolescents and adults dealing with addiction, self-esteem issues, anxiety and stress, depression, chronic pain, and LGBTQ issues. She is passionate about helping others become empowered to make lasting positive changes in their lives.

  • Eric Wilson, LPC

    Eric Wilson earned his M.Ed. from Colorado State University with a specialization in Counseling and Career Development. He also has a BS in Human Development and Family studies. Eric is a Youth and Family Therapist with Polaris Partners, and is able to provide Bilingual (Spanish-English) services. He has been drawn to helping others discover their own strengths and abilities for a long time, and particularly likes to help people learn to understand and embrace their true selves so they can live life to the fullest. Eric is especially interested in helping clients with self-esteem, anxiety, life stage transitions, stress management, relationships, autism spectrum disorders, and providing bilingual services. He enjoys watching Polaris clients and families actively learning and growing so that they emerge from challenging circumstances victorious. Polaris Partners provides an ADA compliant office suite in South Fort Collins, Colorado.

  • Emilie Ryan, LPC

    Emilie holds a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado and is a Certified Yoga Teacher through Neo Yoga in Goa, India. She specializes in treating complex trauma and PTSD, depression, suicidal thinking, anxiety and stress, panic attacks, self-esteem and identity development, and personal growth. Emilie works with individuals of diverse backgrounds, identities, and economic classes including homelessness with sensitivity and respect. In addition to conventional therapeutic methods, Emilie is trained in research-supported somatic therapies including using breathing, yoga, and meditation in session if clients are interested. She is passionate about studying the role of the nervous system as it relates to mental health and helping clients make sense of their experiences from an integrated and holistic perspective.

  • Rachel Lucas, LPC

    Rachel specializes in the treatment of trauma and PTSD, substance abuse and addiction, diversity issues, identity development, life transitions, stress management and personal growth. Rachel works with individuals of diverse identities, backgrounds, and economic situations through an awareness of intersectionality and using a collaborative approach in order to provide individualized treatment to meet her clients unique needs. She views her role in counseling as a supportive witness, providing an atmosphere of healing and growth and sharing her knowledge and expertise with clients to help them to connect to their own internal wisdom and strength in order to bring about change.

  • Alastair Johnson, LCSW

    As a former human services caseworker, Alastair has extensive experience working with children and adolescents. He has expertise working with clients in the child welfare system, those with life changing events, physical disability and veterans. His practice draws from cognitive, behavioral, trauma-informed and mindfulness-based practices. He supports his clients in making values guided, effective decisions and taking committed actions to build a rich and meaningful life.

  • Jenni Silva, LAC, LCSW

    Jennifer is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Addiction Counselor. She earned her MSW from University of Denver. She is the Owner and Licensed Therapist for Restoring Peace of Mind, and a Contracted Licensed Therapist for Polaris Partners Counseling and Consulting. As a teen, Jennifer witnessed how mental illness and addiction can impact adolescents’ lives. She became invested in helping others cope through their struggles and it inspired her to become an adolescent therapist. Jennifer specializes in working with adolescent and young adults dealing with addiction, self-esteem issues, anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. She is passionate about helping others explore themselves, including their emotions, their behaviors, and their experiences.

  • Lisa Casperson, LCSW, LAC

    Lisa graduated magna cum laude at Colorado State University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies. After graduation, she went on to work in outpatient medicated assisted treatment for opiate use disorder, social detox, acute inpatient behavioral health, Larimer County Community Corrections residential treatment services, and intensive residential treatment while earning her Licensed Addiction Counseling and Licensed Social Work credentials. In 2021, she earned a Master of Social Work at the University of Central Florida. In 2023, she graduated from Gabor Mate’s Compassionate Inquiry training.

    Lisa is a lifelong learner who is passionate about providing biopsychosocial-spiritual education and healing trauma through the development of mindfulness, emotional intelligence, and a safe, nurturing relationship with self and others. She is aided by evidence-based treatments grounded in brain science such as Polyvagal Theory, DBT, CBT, and Positive Psychology. Lisa uses an empathetic abiding presence with authenticity, compassion, and non-blaming curiosity to walk with clients on their journeys to overcome fear and pain. She helps clients dissolve defenses, guide the unconscious to consciousness, identify patterns, release trauma, cultivate meaningful social connections, improve well-being, and develop inner peace.

  • Ariel Gonzalez, LPCC

    Hello! I’m Ariel (she/her). Thanks for taking the time to be here. I specialize in working with teens, adults, couples/relationships and am LGBTQIA2S+ aligned. I work with a wide range of human experiences such as anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, self-esteem, identity crises, sex, women’s empowerment, and relationship and communication skills. I have a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Naropa University’s Contemplative Psychotherapy & Buddhist Psychology program. From these studies and my own personal healing practices of meditation, yoga, and dance, my therapeutic approach combines Western and Eastern philosophies.

    I meet each individual with warmth, compassion, and an open mind and heart. Drawing upon mindfulness awareness and self-compassion, I can support you in meeting your experiences and most importantly, yourself, with those same skills. If you’re up for it I love to offer guided meditations, breathing exercises, movement, and various coping skills in session. Contemplative Psychotherapy is the foundation in which I practice and I also utilize Internal Family Systems (IFS), DBT, trauma-informed somatic approaches, Hakomi therapy, Narrative therapy, and Non-Violent Communication Skills.

  • Roxann Shook, LPCC

    Roxann works with adults 18 and older, specializing in depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety disorders, and I also help clients with issues including: anger management; codependency; coping skills; grief; life transitions; relationship issues; self-esteem; stress; trauma; PTSD; and women’s issues.

    Roxann earned a Master degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University in 2019. A variety of therapeutic approaches inform Roxann’s practice, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, existential therapy, and person-centered approaches. Clients who find their way to Roxann often wonder if they’ll ever feel better. They describe feeling lost, alone, or confused. Life feels out of control, and they don’t feel good about themselves, their work, or their relationships. Symptoms that lead them to therapy include withdrawal from loved ones, turbulent sleep patterns, depression, anxiety, mania, and thoughts of death or suicide that often make it impossible to feel joy or excitement.

    Roxann helps clients learn how to stop struggling with emotions and to respond more effectively. Clients start to accept their difficulties and commit to making necessary changes in their behavior, regardless of what is going on in their lives or how they feel about it. Roxann believes in the power of therapy because it’s worked in her own life. You do not have to suffer alone.

  • Glenda Andresen, LMFT

    Glenda is a licensed Marriage Family Therapist at Polaris Partners Counseling in Ft. Collins. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, University of California, Santa Cruz, CA and has a Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology, University of San Francisco, CA. Her work with her own therapist inspired her to pursue a career in the mental health field. She specializes in navigating major transitions in life and adjustment to single parenthood, personal growth, and other life transitions. She works with individuals, families and couples dealing with relationship conflict, trauma, PTSD, depression, stress and anxiety, and other issues.

  • Hannah Eppley, LSW

    Hannah Eppley (she/her/hers) earned her MSW degree from Colorado State University, and she is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in Colorado. Hannah has spent years working with youth and their families, helping folks navigate systems, access resources, and supporting their self- advocacy and healing. Hannah is passionate about working with people who have experienced complex trauma. Hannah brings an intersectional lens and collaborative approach to her work, recognizing the dignity and worth of every person, and taking a personalized approach to therapy to meet individual needs. Hannah utilizes a trauma-informed approach to therapy and is passionate about the connection between body and mind in healing. Hannah strives to empower folks in making sense of their experiences and accessing their own strength and wisdom in creating desired change.

  • Lisa LaDue, LCSW

    Lisa is a Colorado Licensed Clinical Social Worker with an extensive clinical background. As a disaster responder for over 20 years and a volunteer firefighter for almost 10 years, Lisa has developed a deep specialty in working with people who have experienced trauma. Her background includes many years of assisting people around the world learn to manage the emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual consequences of living through traumatic events and chronically stressful situations. Lisa enters into therapeutic relationships with the intent of helping others gain awareness, process, and learn skills to manage and grow from their painful experiences. She practices Somatic Experiencing to help others regulate the physical consequences of trauma and stress and focuses on living fully in the here-and-now.

    Allie works with at-risk youth in Greeley and Weld county providing in-home mental health services to adolescents and their families.

  • Laurie Kidd, LCSW

    Laurie Kidd is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with an extensive clinical background. Laurie has developed a deep specialty in working with people who have experienced trauma. Her background includes many years of assisting clients of all walks of life to learn to manage the emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual consequences of living through traumatic events and chronically stressful situations. She has an additional specialty of working with veterans and helping them overcome mental health difficulties. Laurie enters into therapeutic relationships with the intent of helping others gain awareness, process, and learn skills to manage and grow from their painful experiences.

    Alex Murray is a Licensed Social Worker in Colorado and holds a Masters of Social Work from Colorado State University. Over the past decade, he has dedicated his efforts to serving adolescents and families within the Northern Colorado Community. Alex's professional journey has included impactful roles in diverse settings, including residential treatment, the Child Welfare and Juvenile Justice system, and supporting children with problem sexual behaviors. His therapeutic approach is marked by collaboration and empathy, anchored in evidence-based techniques tailored to each individual's unique journey. Alex specializes in navigating a range of challenges, including anxiety, trauma, depression, and developing healthy boundaries. Driven by passion for facilitating self-discovery and personal growth, Alex is committed to supporting their clients in creating lasting, sustainable, positive change.
